Mr. Lim Hong Beng, Managing Director of Feng Ming Construction, has been awarded the Public Service Medal at the Singapore National Day Awards 2017.
The Medal is awarded to individuals who have rendered commendable public service in Singapore. As the Managing Director of Feng Ming Construction, Mr. Lim has implemented several company initiatives in corporate social responsibilities. He leads the company in at least two community enrichment events every year, most recently partnering with Touch Community Singapore to bring their seniors for an immersive experience at the Singapore Zoo. Mr. Lim also established a community partnership with the Woodgrove Citizens Consultative Committee (“CCC”) to benefit their residents. Since 2012 he has led Feng Ming Construction to support Woodgrove CCC’s community events, such as the Chinese New Year Hong Bao event, which aims to benefit the less privileged during the festive season.
Mr. Lim dedicates the Medal to the staff of Feng Ming Construction. “This medal is a recognition of their passion and dedication in serving the needs of our community,” he says.
Mr. Lim has a strong sense of corporate social responsibility and has made philanthropy a core value of Feng Ming and its associate companies. In 2015 he was awarded with the Gopal Haridas Award by the Singapore Children’s Society for raising a record S$1.143M as the Chairman of the Society’s Charity Gala Dinner.
